Cardiff Metropolitan University: Overview
Cardiff Metropolitan University, known in Welsh as Cardiff Metropolitan University, is based in Cardiff, Wales. It was previously called the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff (UWIC), also referred to in Welsh as Universiteit van de instituten van Wales, Cardiff (PACC).
Cardiff School of Art & Ontwerp (CSAD)

- Even after this change, some institutional connections persisted:
- Both universities shared a Pro Vice Chancellor of Research until summer 2012.
- Cardiff Met staff continued for a time to serve as moderators for the University of Wales’s overseas franchised degree programs.
- International students are charged a uniform tuition rate regardless of their country of origin.
Leadership Overlap
Between 2004 en 2007, Tony Chapman held a dual role: Vice Chancellor of Cardiff Metropolitan University (then UWIC) and Senior Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive of the University of Wales.
